UPDATES

First of all, We want to thank to all of the overseas Volunteers, the teams and Hong Kong Volunteers who came and help us doing the admin and running our sports outreach programs in drug rehab centers and in schools .God bless you guys.. you are awesome!

Our summer program is always great to meet with new people, playing sports and meet for a feed but at the same time we build up friendship and talk about the greatness of the Lord. that's how the sequence goes..etc.. The Puerto Ricans Basketball team from the YWAM base in Puerto Rico came and help us running our culture exchange programs in one of the local college. the team divided in two groups and were doing dance & Drama sessions and Basketball clinics, and on top of that they were sharing their personal stories about who God is to the students and praying for them. it was wonderful!

Also there was a football ( soccer) team from AIA( Athelete in Action) in Holland was helping us in the football programs although it was so hot outside but They did a marvelous job Share the gospel with the youth in schools and drug rehab centers.

Our hot hoops basketball camp was great, former SSI staff Ben Swetman from US was the main Coach, Paul Lee and Mathew Morris from the US also came. Our Hot Hoops Theme was : "YOUR FAITH IS WORTH MORE THAN GOLD" The student enjoyed it very much, learning a lot too about God and improve their skills. We had a great time together, lots of fun.

A team that speaks volleyball!

In July we were very happy to host a high-level men's volleyball team from Holland. They played games against some top club teams in Hong Kong and coached many high school students. Through the games and coaching they made friends and shared about Jesus. Usually they performed a drama, shared testimonies and gave out Struggle and Triumph DVDs, which tell life stories of some Olympic athletes.

During their time in Hong Kong they experienced cramped living conditions, crowds, heat & the friendliness and enthusiasm of Chinese people .

As the team leader Gerard said, it was easy to build relationships with volleyball players in Hong Kong because they spoke the same language: Volleyball!

Thank you for coming Gerard, Jan, Ernst, Jelte, Maarten, Rik, Stefan and Wouter!
