The vision of Rugby Ministry is to reach out to the young Chinese and Western rugby players in Hong Kong and ASIA for Jesus Christ. SSI has been involved in rugby since 2001 when Junior Su'a came to Hong Kong to join YWAM and then work with SSI.

Junior Coaches rugby in Chinese and International schools, drug rehabilitation centers, church youth camps and shares his testimony about God's love, rugby ethics and dealing with emotions brought on by the pressures and frustrations sometime experienced in the game.

Rugby is becoming more popular in Asia and is now played in countries throughout Asia such as Philippines, Mongolia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan. As the popularity increases so does the opportunity to use rugby as a vehicle for bringing the Good News to the nations of Asia.

Rugby Ministry needs both male and female coaches to work with SSI. Opportunities for short mission trip and coaching in schools are many. Thanks to the good influence of the Hong Kong Sevens, rugby is becoming a bigger sport in Hong Kong. The goal of Rugby Ministry is to use rugby as a tool to build friendship and then share the love of God with the players.
