Foundations for Sports Ministry (FSM)
In 1996, YWAM started the School of Sports Ministry. This school is now called the Foundations for Sports Ministry, and is available at YWAM bases around the world.
This course is registered under the College of Arts and Sports of the University of the Nations. It consists of a 6 weeks lecture phase, 6 weeks outreach and a possible 6 week internship in your own sport!
Course Objectives:
* Understanding of biblical principles and history of sports ministry
* Worldwide sports ministry networking and study of different models
*Ability to use a variety of sports ministry methods in both evangelism and discipleship
*Technical training: fundamental techniques, playing strategies, rules and coaching principles in several main sports.
* Participants will develop their own ministry plan using what they have learned during the lecture phase.
